Second Floor Introduction

The staircase that leads to the second floor of Rundlet-May House is highlighted with family portraits, and a corridor of bedrooms. James and Jane Rundlet’s room, is at the front of the house, Gladys May’s room is a mix of inherited original furnishings and modern convenience, and Ralph May’s room is bright and overlooks the garden. The hall also had an entrance to the staff hallway, which wrapped behind the house as a quick way for household staff to travel quietly from room to room if needed.
