Roses at Rundlet-May

Roses were a mainstay of the garden from the very beginning, and account ledgers list roses among the first plants to be purchased for the landscape. Mary Morison May had the vertical arbors built and the large arbor in back of the house provided a shady spot to sit under, while family members and house guests delighted in the full scent of summer blooms.
